As you choose your fishing location, be sure to find out the local rules before visiting the area. Remember, anyone 14 years old or older must have a valid fishing license to fish in Idaho. Nonresident children under 14 may fish without a license if accompanied by a license-holding adult, who must include the child's fish in his or her bag limit. You can purchase a license at local license vendors, any Idaho Department of Fish and Game office across the state, or by calling 1-800-554-8685 for a credit card purchase which will include a service fee.
