Lewiston/Clarkston Levees
The most significant landmarks in the Lewis-Clark Valley are the Snake and Clearwater Rivers. The best way to enjoy the rivers are along the Lewiston/Clarkston Levee trail system.
The levees were built during the construction of Lower Granite Dam. Today they provide Lewiston and Clarkston residents with direct access to a 21-mile river playground. The levees front the rivers along their lengths.
The levee System can be reached from a variety of parking lots along the Clarkston and Lewiston shores.
NORTH LEWISTON
Pepsi Park just off Hwy. 12 across the Clearwater Bridge. North Lewiston boat ramp approximately one mile from North Lewiston east on Hwy. 95.
LEWISTON-SOUTH SHORE OF THE CLEARWATER RIVER
The Lewiston bypass has three parking lots and an interpretive center on the south shore of the Clearwater as well as the Lewis-Clark Interpretive Center located just off the Lewiston bypass at the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake Rivers.
